Terms of Use
The BiG GiG website is operated by BIG GiG Events Limited – ABN 46 072 409 986. From time to time, BiG GiG may make services available via the biggig.com.au website, such as messaging services and other online services. These services, and the biggig.com.au website, will be collectively referred to as "biggig.com.au" in these terms.

Your access to and use of biggig.com.au is subject to these terms, BiG GiG’s Privacy Statement and the biggig.com.au Copyright and Trade Mark Notice, whether or not you become a client of BiG GiG Event Management Company. Prior to using biggig.com.au, you should read and understand the Terms of Use.


What you must do
  • Use biggig.com.au in accordance with the Terms of Use.
  • Use a security credential to access GiGSTER. The Member ID could take the form of a username and password, a digital certificate or another security-related technology.
  • If under 18 years of age, you must obtain a parent/guardian's consent prior to using biggig.com.au.
  • If you are entering the Terms of Use on behalf of your employer or another entity, you must be authorised to enter into the Terms of Use on behalf of your Company.
What you must not do
  • Use biggig.com.au for any activities which breach any laws or regulations, infringe a third party's rights or privacy, or are contrary to any relevant standards or codes
  • Use biggig.com.au in a way which interferes with other users or defames, harasses, threatens, menaces or offends any person or which inhibits any other user from using or enjoying biggig.com.au
  • Use biggig.com.au to send unsolicited commercial or bulk electronic mail messages to anyone
  • Make any fraudulent or speculative enquiries, bookings, reservations or requests using biggig.com.au
  • Use another's Member ID or name without permission
  • Provide false information when registering or changing your biggig.com.au registration details
  • Impersonate another person when using biggig.com.au
  • Post to or transmit via biggig.com.au any obscene, indecent, inflammatory or pornographic material or material that could give rise to civil or criminal proceedings
  • Tamper with, hinder the operation of or make unauthorised modifications to biggig.com.au
  • Knowingly transmit any virus or other disabling feature to or via biggig.com.au
  • Attempt any of the above acts or permit another person to do any of the above acts.
Third Party Content

Many of the services advertised and much of the information provided via biggig.com.au are the products, services and information of third parties. Third party products, services and information are not provided or endorsed by us. Where it is apparent that products, services and information are not provided by us, your legal relationship in respect of those products, services and that information is with the third party supplier.

Messaging Services

BiG GiG may make messaging services available only to users of GiGSTER and bigggig.com.au or in accordance with other agreements with BiG GiG. If we introduce or revise eligibility criteria for a messaging service, the introduced or revised eligibility criteria will only apply to those who subsequently apply for the messaging service.

We will take reasonable steps to prevent you from receiving a WebMail mail messages that we have identified as containing a virus. We do not, however, guarantee that you will not receive a virus via a WebMail mail message. We recommend that you use up-to-date anti-virus software on the computer that you use to access WebMail.

You are responsible for all equipment and software used to access the messaging services, and for the consequences of any filtering or other application you choose to apply to the messaging service.

From time to time, we may send you, and you authorise us to send you, some important mail messages about BiG GiG Event Management services

Security
You must comply with all directions issued by BiG GiG relating to use of your Member ID and access to biggig.com.au. You must not send or disclose any part of your Member ID that is meant to be confidential to any other person or entity or store it in a manner that would reasonably allow another person or entity to obtain access to it.

If you choose to use a workplace email address to access biggig.com.au, you are responsible for ensuring that such use complies with any rules, policies or protocols which apply to the use of the Internet in your workplace.


You must not keep the Confidential Component of your Member ID in a location where it is capable of being copied or used by any person or disclose the Confidential Component of your Member ID to any other person.

Other than by reference to a person's Member ID, BiG GiG cannot and does not verify that each person who accesses biggig.com.au is in fact the person they say they are.

You must immediately notify BiG GiG if you become aware:

  • that your Member ID has been compromised or is known to a third party
  • of any unauthorised use of your Member ID.
In the event that you notify us of either of these things, we will take reasonable steps to deactivate the Member ID and issue you with a new Member ID within a reasonable time of being so notified.
Privacy
BiG GiG may use and provide personal information about you that is collected by BiG GiG on biggig.com.au. The collection and provision of this information is subject to privacy laws. BiG GiG will comply with the BiG GiG Privacy Statement in dealing with any personal information provided by you via biggig.com.au.
Change of the Terms of Use
We may change the Terms of Use by obtaining your consent or giving notice to you in writing. The period of notice we will give you depends on the type of change. If the change will benefit you, we can make the change immediately and are not required to notify you prior to the change.

We will try to give you 3 days notice if a change has a detrimental impact on you but is:

  • required by law
  • necessary for security reasons
  • to prevent fraud
  • for technical or infrastructure reasons

    We do not have to notify you if we make changes to the biggig.com.au website
Termination
You may stop using biggig.com.au at any time, for any reason.

We may stop making biggig.com.au, or a part of biggig.com.au, available with 30 days' prior notice.

We may immediately suspend, terminate or limit your access to biggig.com.au if:

  • you are in breach of the Terms of Use
  • we believe on reasonable grounds that there is a real risk of serious loss or damage to us or another if we do not suspend, terminate or limit your access to biggig.com.au
  • the law requires us to do so
  • we believe on reasonable grounds that providing access to biggig.com.au to you is illegal or may become illegal
  • there is an emergency
Communication with you
13.1 As part of some BiG GiG services available via biggig.com.au, we may communicate with you via email to an email address nominated by you.

When we do this the following will apply:

  • BiG GiG will address and send emails to you to the email address provided by you
  • you are responsible for ensuring that your contact details are current, your email service is operational and that you check your emails regularly
  • you must notify BiG GiG as soon as possible of any changes to your online contact details
  • if BiG GiG receives an automated email non-delivery notification indicating you have not received the email that BiG GiG has sent you, BiG GiG will use reasonable endeavours to attempt to contact you using the other contact details that you submitted in your online service contact details

Use of your information and material
When you send us any feedback, suggestions, ideas or other materials in relation to or via biggig.com.au, you agree that we can use, reproduce, publish, modify, adapt and transmit them to others free of charge and without restriction, subject to our obligations in our Privacy Statement.
General Matters
This agreement is governed by the law in force in the State of New South Wales, Australia, and the parties irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia and courts of appeal from them for determining any dispute concerning this agreement.

If any of the Terms of Use are invalid or unenforceable, it will be struck out and the remaining terms will remain in force.

You may not assign or transfer your rights or benefits under the Terms of Use to any other person or entity without our prior consent, which we will not unreasonably withhold.

Specific disclaimers
All text, photos, graphics, audio and video works are only for the Permitted Use and must not, directly, or indirectly, be published, rewritten for broadcast, communication or publication or redistributed in any medium. Such BiG GiG materials and works must not be stored in any electronic or other system except for the Permitted Use. Neither the Licensee User or any other person may hold BiG GiG liable for any delays, inaccuracies, errors or omissions in respect of such materials and works, the transmission or delivery of such materials and works or any loss or damage arising from any of the foregoing.

The information, text and images in this website are for personal use only and may not be re-written, copied, re-sold or re-distributed, framed, linked or otherwise used whether for compensation of any kind or not, without the prior written permission of BiG GiG. This website is published for information only without assuming a duty of care. BiG GiG is not in the business of providing professional advice, and gives no warranty, guarantee or other representation about the accuracy of the information or images contained in this service. BiG GiG is not liable for errors, omissions in, delays or interruptions to or cessation of the services through negligence or otherwise.
